Dr. Morrison joined the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in the summer of 2014 as the Director of Clinical Education for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from UMHB in 2002 and went on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia, in 2005.
Since then, Dr. Morrison has gained extensive experience across a wide range of clinical settings, including outpatient orthopedics and neurorehabilitation, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, pediatric and special education school settings, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. She has also served in administrative roles, including as a rehabilitation director in a skilled nursing facility.
An active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Texas Physical Therapy Association, and the APTA’s Education Section, Dr. Morrison has held several leadership positions. From 2015 to 2020, she served as a delegate to the APTA House of Delegates and was Assistant Chief Delegate for Texas from 2019 to 2020.
In 2019, Dr. Morrison was named Director of the Center for Faith, Health, and Service within UMHB’s Mayborn College of Health Sciences. In this role, she helps facilitate local and global service-learning opportunities for students and faculty. She collaborates with partners such as UMHB Global Outreach, Baylor Scott & White, Temple Community Clinic, and local churches to support these initiatives. Leading short-term medical mission teams continues to be one of her greatest passions.
Dr. Morrison and her husband are blessed with six children. They attend Temple Bible Church, where she has taught youth and special needs Sunday school for over 18 years. Together, the Morrisons also serve in a weekly prison ministry through Discipleship Unlimited.
