Communication and Media Studies
The Department of Communication and Media Studies offers majors in Speech Communication, Mass Communication (with emphases in Journalism and Public Relations) and Film Studies. Our goal is to produce graduates who can think critically, reason morally, write and speak with precision and impact, and present performances in a variety of media to audiences of all types.
The program focuses a lot on the fundamentals of communication, which gives a great foundation for careers and grad school.
